We are traveling as a party of 4 people and have been to Cambodia via Vietnam transfer flight and will have a stop over in Vietnam on the way home, we decided not to pay for a online visa for Vietnam (due to scams) or realised we needed a letter prior to entering Vietnam. As we would pass through and arrange a visa prior to arrival. When passing through Vietnam we where told no letter, no visa.
